Lake tours will be the highlight of the weekend, especially if we spot an early wintering bald eagle! Bird-feeding programs and guided bird hikes are also be on the agenda. 9 am - 11:30 am - Eagle Exploration - Each Saturday in January is designate for eagle awareness. Not only is the American bald eagle a symbol of our nation's pride, it is the only eagle unique to North America. Join park staff for a guided van tour around Lake Chicot! Here is your opportunity to search for eagles in the wild and discover this majestic bird's importance to our heritage. Bundle up and bring your binoculars! Space is limited and reservations are required. - Admission: $6 adults, $3 children ages 6-12

Join us for this celebration of our nation's symbol! This is our park's signature special event. Programs featuring the American bald eagle and other birds of prey will make the weekend "fly by." Activities include eagle-watching lake tours, guided bird walks, owl prowls, live bird demonstrations, games and more. The Little Rock Zoo will present live bird programs to area schools during the week and give live raptor demonstrations and performances Friday and Saturday. Registration begins at 4 p.m. on Friday and activities continue throughout the weekend. Lodging and camping are available. Call 800-737-8355 beginning January 23 to reserve seats for eagle tours. Please dress for the weather. Admission: Free except tickets for eagle tours: $6 adults; $3 ages 6-12; children under 6 ride free.

Programs are free, tours cost $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for children under 13. There is limited room on tours, so sign up early.
